Dr. Bouzouaya developed a completely new method to treat severe dry eye syndrome. He developed a medical instrument to perform this new surgical treatment method. The instrument is patented in the United States and has been taken into production by an American company in New York, which company also gave the instrument its name (see pages 31 and 54 of the Ellman catalogue).

The article was published in the January 2009 edition. In March 2012 Dr. Bouzouaya published another article about this treatment method and the instrument in Prime Magazine, a magazine destined for European doctors.
